![]() ![]() I would start with this class for offense. Just think of medic as a scout that can kill things. The "healing" aspect is usually ignored and highly situational, you're not going to see good medics with their medkit out that often. Medic: Pretty much the same as scout but with the option to try to kill defenders if needed (due to having grenades, better shotgun, and higher health/armor). This one is probably hard to play well for beginners. If someone is playing scout at a high level they should have a TON of deaths by the end of the match (90+) and pretty much all their points from flag captures. Basically the strategy is just do runs for the flag as fast as possible. You'll have a tough time on something like 2fort where it's close quarters. Works best on open maps where you can concjump or otherwise avoid defenders. You aren't going to kill anything except maybe a sentry, but when played skillfully you can just bypass defenders like they aren't even there. Scout: Used for offense because of speed and concjumping. There's a definite tier list and method of playing each class: In high level play the classes aren't really balanced and aren't necessarily used the way they were intended. Remember, it's a team game and your team is trying to do something or stop the other team from doing something. There's never a time where you should just be wandering around the map looking for someone to fight. Don't stop to deathmatch the enemy offense on the bridge, don't try to help the defense hold, etc. If you're on offense, go after the flag/objective relentlessly. Are you playing offense or defense? I'm not talking about just dustbowl, but pretty much any map. All the bhopping and concjumping and other fancy stuff should come after this.ΔΆ. ![]() If you can do that and get a few hits in with your main weapon while doing it, you're well on the way. Every class except scout has the regular grenade as their primary grenade, and mastering it's use is by far the most important skill. The fundamental TFC strategy is holding onto a grenade until just before it explodes and then chucking it in your opponent's face. You need to be able to cook the grenade while moving around and doing everything else. #1 tip would be to set up your binds so that first press = prime grenade, 2nd press = throw grenade. I'll assume you at least know what bhopping and concjumping are even if you aren't great at them. Old vet here, haven't played in years, but I can offer a few pointers. ![]()
